This Privacy Policy explains what information Edukatz collects when you visit our website or study with us, why we collect it and how we protect it. Edukatz is run by Ameya Shriwas. By using our website or the student area you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Details you give us when you join: your name, email address, mobile / WhatsApp number and the course you choose.
- Your login: your email and password. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form — nobody, including our team, can read them.
- Your coursework: the practice website URL, any access details you or we add, the work you save in the practice tools, files you upload, task submissions, our feedback and the messages you send inside the platform.
- Technical information: basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested and time) and a login (session) cookie that keeps you signed in.
- Messages on WhatsApp, Instagram or email that you send us about joining or support.
2. How we use your information
- To create your student account and give you access to your course.
- To review your tasks, answer your questions and track your progress.
- To contact you about your course, your login and important updates.
- To keep the platform secure — for example to stop repeated wrong-password attempts.
- To improve our lessons, tools and website.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Payments
Course fees are paid through UPI, bank transfer or a payment provider. We do not store your card, UPI PIN or banking passwords. The payment provider handles your payment under its own privacy policy; we only keep the payment confirmation (amount, date and reference) for our accounts and tax records.
4. Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies needed for it to work — mainly the session cookie that keeps you logged in and protects forms. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on the student area. If we add website analytics in future (for example Google Analytics), we will update this policy.
5. Who can see your information
- Your trainer and our team — to review your work and support you.
- Service providers who help us run the platform, such as our web hosting company and WhatsApp / email services, only as needed to provide the service.
- Authorities — if we are required to by law.
We will never publish your name, photo, work or review on our website without your permission.
6. Practice websites
If you use your own or a client’s website, you confirm that you have permission to work on it. Any access details (logins) for a practice website are visible only to you and your trainer and are used only for your course work. Please do not share them with anyone else.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and coursework while your course is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can download your work and so we can answer questions or issue certificates. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records).
8. Security
We use HTTPS, encrypted passwords, protected file storage and limited admin access to keep your data safe. No website can be 100% secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
9. Your rights
In line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show, correct, update or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to us using it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Students under 18
Our courses are meant for students aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, you may join only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who should contact us first.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page with the date it was last updated.
